You can do it here but not in the State Park area...I think..been so long since I did it! Just give me the sound of the ocean..don't need no alcohol to get the high!
No. Bars were created to hold in the lunacy... Children do not need to be accosted by drunks and even though some would just like to have a few, there are always others who do not understand responsible... For heaven's sake it is on every single package and alcohol advertisment. Instant a**hole just add alcohol comes to mind...
I agree that kids don't need to be accosted by drunks at the beach and instant a**hole just add alcohol
I also agree with Shipoker that it is nice to spend sunset at the beach with a bottle of wine. Responsibly and respectfully to others who happen to be there
SHOULD WE ALLOW ALCOHOL DRINKING ON PUBLIC BEACHES?
Of course. The last thing we need is yet more government enforcement making yet more laws to restrict yet more behavior. Let people drink where they will and if they get out of control and become harmful *then* arrest them or take appropriate actions.
I don't care about the children. Everything is so watered down for the children. I can't swear at a hockey game because it's a "family" enviroment, I can't smoke in restaurants because the smoke might bother "families" Bah, I'm tired of constantly having to deal with families and their bratty kids.
I am an adult. it is legal for me to drink. Therefore, I should be able to drink on beach if I want. If I get drunk, then I am breaking public drunkeness laws, right?
I think for the first time since I've been reading your posts I actually agree with you!
The extent we've gone to in sheltering children is simply rediculous. And I say this as a mother! If people don't want their children exposed to the realities of civilization and society, then they should keep their rugrats locked in their own homes 24/7 where they can control the environment as they please.
No, they are public. For adults and children. I can do adult things (within the laws of town the beach is located in) and children can do childish things. I won't bother them, if they don't bother me. But to say that we have to ban booze because there might be children around is silly and overbearing. That was my point.
I do not agree, people can't even handle boating and drinking and fishing at the same time, see bottles next to the water, in the water, I grab some when I leave. It's disgusting, and there will always be someone who has to ruin it for everyone. I agree with Ship, but you have those people who have to bring in the kegs and all their friends and be complete idiots. Adult entertainment with beverages........there is places to go for that. My opinion only and I'm standing to it
It is not just sheltering the children, it is sheltering the adults as well. It used to be in this country that your rights ended at the tip of your nose, you could do what you wanted to do without someone else forcing you to do otherwise. We as a country are getting locked down to the point there that soon there will be no freedoms left. I could spend all day on this topic...but I am going to shut up now.
