far as i can see and have stated here, as others here,
backing statements w/ some facts;
america has already accepted the new american way- (circa 1960ish)
and is currently facing the consequences.
what will we do about it?
maintain the status quo, complain and resent suggestions for change
as a society (us-if we change so will the politicians-
its a country by and for us..?)
or will we actually stand up and say/do/insist on something?
another hurdle i do notice in my travels and in forums is that
*in general?*
americans perceive discussion as argument/confrontation.
ill take a few arrows for this,
but New Yorkers and Europeans seem to process conversation differently and just dont get so emotional-as that wouldnt be
a debate-which is stimulating and educational...
in large part-this thread has been a respectful debate.
