Yes I have been to the USA to meet Mr McMaybe (tho he has had an upgrade)
I got home a few hours ago.. I'm SHATTERED.. I've been up for about 36hrs now I think.. I cant even count let alone THINK.. (so im talking even MORE crap than usual)
He was everything I thought he was.. and I ended up a bit (a lot) starstruck and speechless.. most of the time.
Trying NOT to blurt out something ridiculous every time he even LOOKED at me.
I stayed with him for a week.. (except flying up to Buffalo to surprise my Liver cancer buddy)
and now.. well.. I have managed (without trying!!) to fall hook line and sinker for him. he is incredibly charismatic.. and I feel like a paper clip next to a magnet the size of Brazil !
He is the most most MOST everything... and I am completely smitten. .. blinded.. blinkered.. tunnel visioned (that's not a word is it haha) I could go on.. but I will spare you the details (and his CS Humiliation) haha
He is the only man I have ever met that makes me feel like this ---> and the only man that has ever made me lose the power of speech. (yeah ME!) haha and the only man I have been in complete awe of.
So I dunno... we'll see where it goes. Baby steps and all that.
(Watch Claayer fall from great height)
Personally.. I think he maybe booking a one way ticket to Outer Mongolia. (I dunno why I'm laughing.. I'm not bloody kidding! haha) Ermmm... and after an extreme lack of sleep.. I think perhaps maybe I shouldn't have said all that.. but I'll freak out about it after I get some sleep and can think more rationally.

Zellarrone1: How is your friend? I bet it was a nice surprise for her to see you
She looks AWFUL.. she looks (honestly) like she has aged 10yrs since October. She is becoming yellow.. and has lost sooo much weight her face is sunken... big bags under her eyes.
I flew up to Buffalo where it was full on snowing.. got the taxi to drop me at hers.. ran around the back of her house and phoned her .. (to see how her hospital appointment had gone)..
I bought her some big fake flowers (like sunflowers.. big.. but pink.. and purple)..
Sooooo... she was thinking I was calling her from England..
Anyhooo.. I chatted to her on the phone.. (shivering in the snow)...
I said.. 'I picked you some flowers today'...
Then I snuck around to the side door to creep into the house.. but I couldn't turn the frickin key in the door.
She said.. 'You did?... Oh hang on.. there's someone at the door'
she opened the door .. and I handed her the flowers and said.. 'Here they are'...
For 5 seconds.. she laughed.. then she hugged me and cried and cried and cried.
She was over the moon .. it was the BEST (and funniest) thing.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear she is looking so ill even though it's sort of the answer I expected
I'm glad you made her laugh though and bet you made her day

It must be hard seeing her changed like that...my prayers to you both. I'm sure you made her day, that was a nice way to show up.

I'm wracking my brain to remember what she said about it when I was leaving.. It was about making her day.. but she said it in a way that meant it meant so much more than that... I just cant think now what it was.
And so sorry your friend isn't doing well. Cancer is a terrible thing. But I had a friend that beat his cancer for 13 years when he shouldn't have lasted 2. Then a different cancer got him.
I hope she does well. She'll stay in our prayers, you know.

Dknew: Claire I'm very happy for you my friend
Oo..I'm a bit worried now that this is a bit like one of *Those* threads.. that I swore I'd never write.
Mr McMaybe and I have not done the declaring undying love thing.. its not like that. It's just a growing thing at the moment.. and we will see what happens.. if something more comes of it.. it will.. and if it doesn't.. it doesn't.
So we are just going to wait and see where it goes..
But if it doesn't.. then I am moving to Outer Mongolia and become a hermit nun!
I'm joking Mr McMaybe. (and I'm sorry.. SEE what lack of sleep does to me.. Loose lips sink ships)
Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see Que Sera, Sera What will be, will be
The fact we live in different continents.. 4148 miles apart.. with our own lives.. children.. jobs.. families.. and friends.. Puts a slightly awkward spin on it. Don't you think? haha
So who knows. Just have to wait and see. You just never know do you.. nothing is set in stone.
