The bigger baby is the one who has the chocolate after the fight!
Rickster: I think it’s a very good idea to research their threads
I was at the bookstore flipping through this Dictionary of Urban Slang....They actually have a term for this, retro-checking a persons posts back to even before you met them....
I don't remember the term, I just remember asking myself..."Do people actually do that?"
I guess I haven't been that enthralled with anyone yet...I don't know...seems a little OCD to me.
It is true that as time goes by you can see people in a different light. I think it is like when you meet someone first in real life. You see a side to them, and as you spend more time in their company you begin to see more sides to them, the bigger picture. I too have been here for quite a while and during that time have seen people who I thought were really sweet become so nasty and agressive when "it does not go their way" Who knows, bad day or maybe the real them coming out. Behind the computer people can be whatever they want to be and tell you what they want, how is anyone to know?
I have always been a fairly good judge of people and learned to trust my gut feeling a long time ago. The people I have met, it was a pleasure to be in their company, not all would have been my friends but after meeting them I feel they now are.I got to know them better and saw the real them, body language, tone of voice, smile, warmth in their tone. You cant get that behind a screen. Some I knew I would get on well with, others I was pleasantly surprised.

Hey - cool idea. I did some retro-checking on YOU Diogenes and have decided that you are my kind of person! Is that uniform a beggar's outfit in the USA?
Diogenes of Sinope is said to have been a disciple of Antisthenes, who (according to Plato's Phaedo) was present at the death of Socrates. Diogenes, a beggar who made his home in the streets of Athens, made a virtue of extreme poverty. He taught contempt for human achievements; his was a relentless campaign to debunk social values and institutions.
