.. You need to step back and take some time to be YOU again.. (first) But I know what you mean.. I always try to get the bad stuff out the way first (not a good idea really)
I think it's a way of testing to see whether they can put up with you..
by showing the worst bits of you first..
it's a way of finding out whether they can handle all your 'stuff' or not.
