I understand what you are saying as I have been in this position myself. As I have been going through a "personal growth" phase lately, I have found (in my case) that the reason for my feeling this way is because I am quite self-centered. I have little interest in anything outside of my interests. This is proving to be quite a challenge to overcome, but I am working on it.

Detente: Do people bore you? Not totally of course, kinda 'slighty' generally though...more often than not?
Does it take a special sort to capture and hold your attention, and even then, you sometimes feel aloof here and there?
Or is it just me?
I love people, but don't like too many...meaning I feel the need to show civility when able, to all I come across, but would be very unlikely to have more than a couple of close friends at any one time.
I get bored easily...unless you're cool!

I have to have someone to laugh with...otherwise if they have no sense of humour I get bored really easy...I also get bored with the real pathetic easy to see through desperate people....

I easily get bored too... that's why I talk and keep the conversation as lively as it can be so not to let the other person feel that I am bored with him/her... Im nicer than they think.
