My friends, here in NY do not belive me, they think I still smoking, and they think I do it in home too. Whole cigarettes which I have I gave them, I do it because I do not want to go in situation that I have cigarettes and I can smoke.

But they do not believe to me. They “smell” smoke, and I am someone who “just lies”
I am so disappointment with their attitude!!!

Hi there, just want to say keep up the good work. I quit 9yrs ago, I went day by day. people also dident believe me but you know I believed in myself. It was hard I marked ever day off the calender ever day that I maked off made me stronger. dont care what they say have faith in yourself, believe in yourself, because I know it is one of the hardest things you have to do. sounds like they are just jealous...you are doing an amazing thing for yourself that will be a milestone to mark your life forever....some people just don't deal with success very well...try not to let them get to you, ignore the comments and keep on keeping on...after the 10th day it will get easier...

I forgive friends before enemies (I'm actually not aware of any at the moment, but the night is young).

There may be a 'smell' of smoke around you for awhile if you've smoked for a long time,cause clothing retains the smell even if you can't smell it.

How much were you smoking before you quit?
Sometimes it can take more than a week or two before the smell of cigs leaves your system. By the way, you might want to get deeply involved in the laundry department. A few days after I quit, I noticed my house smelled like an ashtray.

I quit twice for a year and so far it's been 4 years.
It doesn't seem like they are supportative of you. And they aren't. It isn't because they don't love you, it's because they are addicts that aren't in recovery. They might have trouble believing you because they really know how hard it really is.
Congratuations on where you are.
It's hard; but it won't get any harder. There will be days, and there will be days that will be better.
For the first year of my sucessfull attempt. I had to make a consious effort not to smoke. (Just like you see people talk about drinking). I don't regret it and I've been over that for 3 years now.
It might seem strange to you now; but at some time when you want to seperate yourself from smoking (and smoking situations); you will want to find more friends (ones that don't smoke).
Keep it up. Only a few more days and the 'physical' side of the DTs will be over.
