What have you done with your life, and when you leave here, can you say to yourself you made a difference in the world. Or whatever you picked as a career did it make a difference. I work in the health care field, and unfortunely disappointed in what I have learned their. Tooooo much politics, but too much money spent unwisely. And our taxes pay for it. But that could be another story. I have lived now 50 years, my birthday this year, and reflected to this year, what is it I have done, and what difference it has made. How about everyone else.

I chose law and yes exactly for that reason..I would like to think I have made some difference because I abhore injustice...Mostly though I think I have made a difference in the area of local Native politics...taking on..speaking out and handling many issues that were ujust and unfair!!!!!!!!
I still have more I want to do yet...I think I want to advocate on behalf of victims of crime next!!!!
Toughy... I suppose I've had a positive effect on many people...some less so however. My Dad adores me...it really helps him when we spend time together.
I have not made a difference and no one will even remember me when I am gone. I have instructed my ex-wife to notify no one when I die. So no one will even know I'm gone!!
I think I've touched a few lives to say I've made some difference in the world but I'm young still so ask me again in the far future when I've grown up some.

Agree somewhat Ship, no one is going to remember any of us that are here now 100 years from now except for some old pictures and some great, great grandkids. So maybe even after we're gone, they will make a difference and so on.

It's not too late to do something outrageous to get your name forever engraved into history.

99 percent of us willl only be remembered from fading pictures on fading wall paper in a fading house.
I'd like to think I'm in the other one percent with at least one or two people.

I became a lawyer... kinda had aspirations that I could make some kind of difference... and I suppose I do in a small way..... the system is very frustrating however.... justice tends to be dispensed in a fairly selective way... and most judges don't really give a crap after a few years on the bench...
I would have like to have been a teacher.... and I might yet do it as a career if it is not too late.... enriching childrens minds.. very worthwhile job... my hat off to anyone who does it for a living

my legacy will be my kids and grandson. I like to think that I made the world a better place. see 10 yrs ago I was told I had 6 yrs to live... at 20 that makes you think. when it comes right down to it what is important in life. I have done everything that I wanted to in life and lived with NO regrets. I have most everything that I could want. now I still have goals but minor ones. by the way the dr.'s changed thier mind after 6 months of hell. :)

I think passing love on to the next generation is the most important legacy one can leave. Who cares about making the history books anyway, no one reads them, and they change them every few years anyway. I know I've made some difference in some people's lives, nothing you'll ever read about, but more important to me than anything else.
I've made a mark in my own way. I teach self defence and know of one occasion a student of mine was able to fend off an attacker. I have also worked with local shelters and abused wemon. We can all join in and help if we choose!

I'll remember that green beard of yours, so you have made a difference.
What kind of terms are you on with the ex? She may put up a Billboard with the info-just to get one last dig.

Teaching self defence to abused women, that is a great contribution. Would love to see the aftermath of that!
