antcus: You answered your own question. I am not looking for any relationship. I am on the EU forums to contribute and to exchange ideas. It is exciting to contribute to such forums, and I believe that I have learnt a lot from various contributors.
Since it is no sin to publicly express my position, that of being in a relationship, so that no one would be misled that I am doing anything to induce any person to fall in love with me, I prefer to continue to contribute, to fill my spare time.

When I joined CS, I was 100% single, but then I met an old friend (not from CS forums or from the CS site) although there are atill a number of women who write to me, just as friends, or maybe hoping that should I break up my relationship, they would be on board the ship already.

Hi Mr Antcus, today I noticed your reply,I understood Your point.
Mine is that I am single in the last 15 years, and being on this site nothing changed either,I sent flowers to one's that caught my eye, emailed them, sent ecards,no success at all. When I said being single forever,I meant how this way, I can continue to ,and stay single forever ,since nothing lead me to finely meet somebody,my mailbox is empty. My joy on this site is reading treads, and it's really exciting to hear someone found what he's looking for, that makes this site valuable.
So,I hope You don't mind my contribution for EU forum, about my lack to meet somebody on Connecting Singles.

antcus: Hi Midnight, From the way you wrote your contribution it is difficult for me to understand what you actually wanted to say. Most of the replies you got made reference to you being visible or invisible. But if I understood right, you tried to make a point of being single. You said that being single really gives you the possibility of meeting the right man. If you were not single, this would exclude it. But you said, can you stay single forever in the hope of finding the right man in your single state. That is what I understood....... is that it?

Well, my comments are that being single does not mean staying alone. I am single, that is I am not married or engaged, but I am not alone. I have been in a relationship for over a year now, and find that this is the way which is most convenient to both. If we should quarrel, and decide to split, there are no divorce bills, no expensive engagement rings to be returned, no houses to be sold, nothing. In fact it is the purest of love, love for its own sake, not tied up with a piece of paper in some dark filing cabinet, which is the civil marriage contract.

Whether it is better to be single or be with somebody in a seroius relationship, is the 100,000 dollar question. The Italians have a saying that literally translated reads: better alone than with the wrong person!

I hope I have understood your contribution, purposely not commenting on your invisibility or otherwise, because, you have had comments from others about that!

Here I am again,I see my few words were really confusing to You,the truth is simple,I am single and would probably stay that way couse don't have a way to meet somebody, and fact that I am without relationship for Years made me queston myself,am I invisable for the outer world,or ignored for the rest of my life.Behind all this was probably curious to know more about other people experience to meet somebody trough this site, and to be able better understand my own situation.

Elley: BTW Smokey, I agree with you that most of the women round here are not of a predatory nature, certainly not the ones like your goodself and all the other lovely regular female contributors in these here forums. Maybe Anctus is referring to people who none of us here know.

Yes, Elley, you are more than right.

Actually, i made it a rule of mine not to get interested in any girl in here if she hasnt got any contribution to the forums.

smoky: I think you just blew yourself up Antcus! No-one wants a relationship with a person who keeps others simmering on the sidelines, just in case. Does your gf know you "play the game" on a singles site?... and have potential "first mates" waiting to board your ship? Sorry to burst your bubble old chap - but in common parlance you could be known by that fabulous acronym of DOM.

I do believe that Most of the women on CS are decent types looking for a decent man - they not the Predator types.

I am disgusted at what you understood in my reply Smoky.

I never said I was interested in any woman at all other than my girlfriend.
I said that there are many who write to me HOPING that IF I break up with my girlfriend, they would already be on board the ship.

Once again for correctness sake, I did not blow anything up. I am happy to be with my woman and happy to chat or exchange views on CS forums, and I let my girlfriend read my contributions too, so as to eliminate any such allusions and false accusations.

Anctus, don,t be too disgusted, I,m sure we are all capable of misunderstanding, it,s what make us human. I,m equally sure Smokey will be a little bit mortified to realise that she got you wrong. Now kiss and make up, okhug

Sorry Antcus, it was just how I read it - and going by your past comments about this subject.... ie. that you are always seeking something better. The part highlighted in red is what I took to mean that you encourage this.

The part highlighted in green is nice to hear - that you share CS with your gf ..... like other couples here on CS. cheers

Elley, dont worry about Antcus and me ... we have regular arguments. I know he is a nice guy. Most times I just pick holes in his posts, just to irritate him. He reminds me of my brother - I miss my brother, he died a few years ago.......So is nice to know there are other a**hole like my boet around! Antcus actually quite likes me, and I like him... just one of those weird sort of love/hate relationships.cheers
And the next time I`m in Malta I intend having a Cisk with him and his Gf. Last time I was there it was Valentine time, and he was too busy with his woman to even take time out!

I am the one, who as a single(start to sound pathetic to myself, repiding that famous being single thing) don't share this forum, with anybody,to my knowledge,if in spite of that it's been read by unwelcomed people (like my employer ,or my family or anybody else for that mater)they need to know that they are not welcomed to read it since it is not of any consideration to them, here I am for my own sake.At least I can say that to them, now they can read it.
And I dont share my password with nobody so how they know,I dont know, wathever, this is just usless,am surrounded with obsessive-possessive -compulsive people.
Oh,and quick correction to Ms Smoky,we are not all couples here,it didn't happen to me yet. dunno

No, Midnight, there are people who began here as singles, and have met their partners, but have stayed on the site, just because they have made good friends here, and we use this to keep up communication.

There is FloweroftheSnow who met Gongman and they are together and there is LisaJane and KT from Malta. If you look at their profiles you will see that they state they have partners - and just enjoy the forums, as we enjoy having them here, and would miss them if they departed.

I have been here, going on my 2nd year, I have met a few people, but am still single and alone, so you just joined the "club". You are a very beautiful young lady, and I have no doubt you will not be single for very long here!

Well, being single is nice, but having a nice partner would be even better. But I suppose, until the timing is right - we just make the best of what we got. Boy and I glad I got a hot-water bottle!cheers
