A local LA Dem that just won a seat in Congress, says that he has not met Nancy Polisi. Said he would not vote for her once in Congress.
Also the he had not met Obama.

And he won on the platform of being pro gun, pro life, pro business.

Do I feel distancing here?confused

even other politicians stop speaking when Obama steps in a room... Even McCain would not say anything bad about Obama on (CNN) an interview that was trying to demise Obama's character. McCain gained a bit more respect (not voting for him though, But I probably would vote for him over Hillary) because he called the interviewer out and said, they need to watch what they say and be careful how they interpret the info they receive.

I don't know anjel, Mccain did hire the same man Comcad who helped Rove to spread the rumors about his daughter to work in this campaign. Maybe he is just playing nicey, nice now to look good but I think they will pull out all their dirty tricks when the time comes if needed.

Good post!

McCain will begin his dirty talks as well soon! Right now some body has told him it is best to show Ease on the Run and not attacking too much but wait and see.....McCain loves to call other jurks and using dirty words in public and surely more dirty words in private as well just when he cant mannage the truth!Any way he is the one with a lot more skeletons in his closet and because of that he better not begin talking dirty and risking being Toasted by Obama any way !

A Vote for Hillary is a Vote for McCain and McCain is Bushney....... but still....I understnad what you mean here and now Anjel!

ttom500: I noted that Edwards did not say word one of the MI and FL Dem voter issue. Quiet as a church mouse.

These guys all know how to make political comment....sad they can
not make political positions of importance to the country and its people.

It's been mentioned in these threads before that the DNC should have worked with those states to come to a solution and vice versa. Whether the tables would have been turned in favor of Clinton or not is moot at this point since those two state's citizens don't get a say in who their candidate is. This potentially will have a negative impact on the eventual nominee. I'm not from either of those 2 states so it doesn't concern me but if I had my vote taken away, I would be pissed off. No telling what they (the voters) will do, if anything but it could be bad.

This is of course not Obama's or Clinton's fault. This is the party in general and the DNC more specifically. It is interesting however how both Clinton and Obama have tried to fight for those state's rights to vote or not fought. I guess it all depends on where one is in the standings and those people are smart enough to figure that out.

ttom500: To Dude,

While Obama may want to talk issues in a serious note. His supporters
wish to play the game in the mud. Meaning that they don't have good issues and solid facts to them or that is basically where they are in life.

Too them real issues like the economy, like the Iraq war, like oil prices, like pro life, like the deterance of terrorism, like global matters of importance, are basically matters that can be solved in the mud. Thier idea of spirituality and the higher purposes of man....can be found in their recent treatment of Jenna Bush's marriage on Kos. Where someone posted her wedding photos along side brutal photos of the Iraq war. This what they consider 'fair political play'.

If Barak loses, it will because the far left has brought him down to thier level of politics, to thier thinking of the American life and dream,
to thier opinion of thier fellow Americans. The sooner he disassociates... if he can with the far left.....the better his chances to win the Presidency are....in my opinion his only real chance to win the Presidency is with this disassociation.

So as said.....the far left will kill Obama's chances. I have said it in the past and say it again.

Oh my, this is from the man who just can't stop talking about Rev. Wright until it is so old nobody wants to hear it anymore. Then he wants to assume he knows more than anyone in the Military and Pentagon about what is going to happen if we leave Iraq....there is no other solutions....they will get their hands on a nuke and bomb Isreal....talking about black and white thinking. I think we have a little more surveillance and air power than you even want to consider.
Atleast Obama is not singing bomb Iran and talking about staying for 100 years. And you are even admitting his diplomacy and leadership skills. And as far as the ecomony, there is nothing new. McCain embraced Bush's policies to get support from the elite, I mean his base.

TT, there will be plenty intelligent people endorsing Obama even republicans but I wouldn't expect neo-cons to endorse him they are the true down fall of America, but tt don't like hearing the truth. Just yesterday he received three endorsement from three former U.S. SEC chairmen, and one was a republican....

WARREN, Mich, May 14 (Reuters) - Three former chairmen of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Wednesday, bolstering the Illinois senator's economic credentials and bipartisan appeal as he closes in on his party's nomination.

Former SEC head William Donaldson, who was appointed by Republican President George W. Bush, joined Arthur Levitt and David Ruder in backing Obama, who leads rival Hillary Clinton in the number of delegates necessary to become the Democratic White House nominee.

Levitt was appointed by former President Bill Clinton, a Democrat, while Ruder was appointed by former President Ronald Reagan, a Republican.

All three commended Obama for his approach to regulation.

"Each of us has been committed to prudent economic policy and effective financial regulation for many years," they said in a joint statement along with former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, also an Obama supporter.

"We believe Senator Obama can provide the positive leadership and judgment needed to take us to a stronger and more secure economic future."

In the statement they praised Obama's "reasoned approach" in analyzing "the current financial crisis and the need for balanced regulatory reform." Continued...

Personally, if I was a FL Dem, which I am not, if after this coming DNC rules meeting on the 31st, if it is not resolved.....I would be taking it to court. It is just politics at this point. Both sides are trying to use the
FL Dem voter and the Fl Primary to thier advantage. So take it to court and have a litigated resolution. Just my opinion there.....and as Dude has said.....you don't advice from a political opponet.:-)

Sure the DNC messed this up at the beginning. Neither canidate had the foresight to say so and to get it changed then. So I hold the both candidates accountable on this. This is thier party and they speak volumes in it. This is thier Presidential campaign and thier organizations. If they have so little power, or do little respect from within thier own party, so little ability to compromise......not to be able to resolve this....what does that say?

Want either to sign the next set of Salt agreement with Russia? Or to
negotiate a resolution of the Tiawan/China issue? Or to muck around in the Middle East peace talks? I feel pretty strongly, you need to be able to do it at home, prior to being able to do it outside the country.

In 15 months of this issue on MI and FL, they have not reached a resolution.....tells me that if either is elected.....it would be 4 years before any major international issue is resolved. These are much more complicated issues than what they have now. Now they have Democracy 101 high school civics class notes to go by. In the international world of those kinds of negotiations and accords.....you write the advanced 500 college level course testbook on them as you negotiate.

I have yet to hear who Barak would have in Cabinet or his VP. Maybe those endorsements will be pulled after they are announced. Endorsement are like water.....they change direction. And there was no word in my post of Rev. Wright. It was the far left in general I tagged in there as his down fall.

Why? Because that mod road and mid road American voter.....does not daily spend his/her time make connections to endorsement of Rep, Dem or Ind. He does not have time to. He get his info from a news show......that gives a 5 second blurt...of a Wright, a Ayers, a far left post like that on Kos recently. And he comes to the same conclusions that the voters in WV did. The far left has supplied the ammo on Obama, Opal.

Personally, I think that it sad that it happened.
