women can be jealous of other women, and men can be jealous of women as well. If you reject a man, or vice versa, there is most definitely hell to pay in far too many cases.
Men can pat themselves on the back as much as they want to. It is a woman's decision on what to do,
has nothing to do with the male input. I have yet to have a male seduce me and have his way with
me without my total knowledge and understanding of the situation. That being said, if it ended
abruptly, I couldn't have cared less.
a lot of men need to get over themselves.jmo

Another thing that get's to me are all these "men vs women" threads - we all know we are different so why bother???
If you want my opinion I could say men are given an awefully hard time by women sometimes - we are constantly being made out to be walking hard-ons who would say or do just about anything to get what we want, often with total disregard for anyone else! Women on the otherhand are made out to be the "innocent victims" whenever the "evil man" has his way...
Could a few men here maybe post a some of their own examples of when a women has taken advantage of them? I'm sure there are plenty!

I think there is a lot to this question.
I think for several hundred years things have been turned around a little backwards where the men were expected to choose their mate. I think today things have kind of balanced out a little bit where it is a mutual agreement between both people, but it confuses me as the rest of the animal kingdom the females choose their mates. Do not get me wrong I am NOT a feminist! I am just asking that you sit back and look at the social implications of such a social structure.
More then that, I believe that women get labeled for such things like having multiple partners because of the days when men couldn't be sure if the baby was theres. Its only been a comparatively short period of time that accurate DNA tests have been available.... and I think our society is still adjusting to such technology.

I never play the innocent victim-I DON'T CARE.....that being said, I don't take advantage of anyone. If I don't like them, I let them know somehow-but trust me when I say, it's equivalent when anyone feels scorned, men and women can be just as bad as each other. As far as your opinion goes, I did state in my opinion that no man has "his way" with a woman without her consent.

If men were'nt expected to be the hunters and women were'nt expected to be the prize then this cliché would never have lasted throughout human history...
How much copulating do you think would be happening if men suddenly all decided NOT to persue women anymore and simply hang around waiting for women to come to them? Not much I don't think - women like to be persued and they also love the attention that men give them when they flaunt themselves!
So it's only natural that men would give themselves a pat on th back when they score - afterall this is what society dictates for us. If it had been the other way around and that it was the women who went out looking for men flaunting themselves for attention then maybe this whole cliché would be turned around and then women would be giving themselves a good pat-on-the-back.....

I can arguably say that it has NOT always been men chasing the women. and there are still a few tribes in the world where the women DO choose their mate. do you know how the myth of vampires started? or how the myth of the fountain of youth started?

I agree Kid... it does take a little bit of courage... and it comes easier to some rather than others (u included) but its not set in stone that we have to follow the rules that society dictate... society sucks.. it is clearly not working.. particularly where relationships are concerned.. as soon as we start liking and respecting ourselves and liking and respecting others.. the rewards will be great I am sure... Men and women have the potential to work perfectly together.. we were made that way... we just have to listen to our hearts and our better conscience more
