Yes, I remember a post like that ..... Looking at the older guys, and reading their profiles ..., I think they still dont see themselves as how they realy look - they should be the grateful ones!

Portiea: Older men obsessed with younger women, younger men obsessed with older women....

It's doing my head in....what's the deal???

I think these older men haven't grown up yet. they probably are hanging onto youth in any way they can. Personally, it makes me sick to see a doderging old fool with a much much much younger wife or girlfriend. The woman might be gold diggers or a woman looking for a father figure. As for younger men and older women, I could see maybe 10 years difference, but after that, it looks a lot like a giglo after a sugar mama.. I would be highly suspicious if a much much younger man was interested in me. Or, maybe the younger man is looking for someone to teach hm how to be a good lover, since older women are experienced in the ways of how to please..dancing dancing grin grin

It seems there are a group of men who really do adhere to the concept of "nothing to lose". They figure if you don't ask, you wont get the chance. Younger guys want to live life to the fullest & older ones want to live life while they can... each justifies it in their own terms but seeks companionship, none the less. The worse things that can happen is they get ignored or a "no"... so what do they have to lose?

There are women who will date these men therefore, these men have the right to search for them. It may not suit all our tastes but then again, that's why we all have these great little delete & block buttons.
You can not stop a person from trying to find partner or for having certain tastes... you can only suit yourself.

No worries,
to each their own.

The second statement makes sense too. Good post. Thanks.

To an extent, yes, you can suit yourself. But, in the meantime, an attractive older women has to spend a lot of time deleting mails and flowers from young guys she has absolutely no interest in....guys who if they just bothered to read profiles, wouldn't bother her. Same goes for younger women and older men...if your profile specifies an age range, men older than that shouldn't be bothering you. Yeah, you can just delete or ignore the flowers and mails, but it feels uncomfortable, and we shouldn't be on here having to be made to feel uncomfortable all the time. If we specify on our profiles we don't date older or younger men...that should be respected.

Still, my thread is not to attack anyone or to censor anyone, but simply to inquire what the thinking is behind this behavior. It is very tiresome every time you set up a topic for genuine discussion, someone says why do we talk about this.....why think about anything, why discuss anything....what is wrong with looking at things, questioning them, trying to understand them?????????????
