When I was in my teens I used to dream of places I have never been but within a month or so ended up going. One time I dreamt of people I had never met and actually met them. I don't dream now or very rarely....wonder what that means? Maybe I don't sleep the way I should?

Hi womanofvalues These precognitive dreams are perfectly normal. You are not definitely alone by any means.
There are not warnings, just an experience of an event in a dream, in whole or part of, before it occurs. I have had at least 4 precognitive dreams that actually happened. Had to do with family members.
Warnings can come in dreams, and it is meant to help you with your everyday life. The tricky part is that it comes in symbols that you have to break down.
As far as to where precognitive dreams come from, I have a theory on that. That is you visited a point (place in time) that has already happened but has yet to happen in your physical life. I know it's complicated and you would have to be familiar with many paranormal concepts to understand. Like the illusory concept of time, infinite selves existing simultaneously, and getting a message from a divine spirit or from a splinter of a family member's soul....
womanofvalues: I have, many times... One of then has happened, at the very next day !
In the year following my son's birth, I had 10 very disturbing dreams about him nearly drowning. I always rescued him in the end, but it was too close for comfort. I became a bit obsessed with making sure he could swim at a very young age. Recently, he witnessed his 2 best friends drown in the river near our home. He survived because he was the only swimmer in the group.
On a lighter note, Monday night I dreamed I knew John McAvoy in the biblical sense. I am really hoping that one is prophetic.

Interesting. How old was your son when her learned to swim? How old was he when he survived this river incident?
Jun 25, 2008 6:45 PM CST Have you dreamed a couple of times, and has these dreams ever become true before ?

yep i don't usually believe in this rubbish but i had a dream my best mate and hs friend died in a car crash i could see it and everything even tried ringing him i was so worried and couldn't get through next day found out his friend died and the only reason my best mate wasn't dead is cause there wasn't enough room so he didn't go.

moonfoxinthesnow: we have very similar ideas on our beliefs.
Cool. I do have to say I can only speak from what I experienced and observed. I should add that warning dreams are possible as to stopping an event like the day before. I have not heard too many stories about it in real life or head some testimony. So I am skeptical about it, but open to it.
I was just looking at lktolbert's dream experience. I don't have enough info to make a strong assessment or confirmation. It could have just been coincidence of that incident in the river. Unless the river in her dreams was the exact river of said incident. But she did not mention that. I am not discrediting her, but just pointing out the nature of random coincidence that we humans like to align with our ideas, opinions, and dreams.
Drowning dreams are very common. I have had a lot of dreams of my daughter drowning. It could have just meant that I was worried about her future unconsciously more than I was aware consciously. Water supposedly symbolizes emotions and our unconscious. Maybe my daughter was a symbol for something else in the dream?
