saw that video on "Good Morning America" and after they investigated the story, it turns out the cell phones did not really cook the popcorn. It is a marketing ploy for a new product coming out soon.

The microwave would be easier but who cares if it gets in the way of a good story.
My uncle told me about the easy way to do fishing while he was in Asia, instead of a rod and line and spending all day catching fish for the army unit he was with they decided on a faster, but noisier option.
Picture a big pond, full of fish but there not keen to be eaten by some hungry British soldiers......then picture half a dozen grenades being thrown into the pond!!
It was noisy but effective and then its a case of wading in and picking out the fish you want to munch for dinner!!
Thank you....exactly my question....why doesn't the phone get cooked...all those wafer-thin circuits??....good question...but then again, maybe the phones didn't work afterwards.....certainly not going to try it with my phone!!...
gringa: How come the microwave doesn't hurt the phone?
