Thank you, Trish~
I say, women unite! I am tired of being put into that little stereo-typed box of what women my age are suppossed to be like, and look like. I can't help it if I don't fit into that little box, and I am not sure I ever will. I say, forget your age, and be who and what you want to be.cheering

My situation is just the opposite .

I had a younger guy then myself from this site kinda sound upset cause I made the comment in another thread that I don't date younger men. He replied to my post and stated that he'd heard that comment before on how older women won't date younger men. My intent was not to offend him or anyone else. I was just giving my honest opinion. That's just how I am. I guess when it comes to my age preference I'm just as bad for having the same attitude as some of the men.

I don't know if he saw my reply to him but,I replied back that I thought he was a nice man and a gentleman but I would feel like I'm dating my two sons.

I have to admit as I read through some of the men's profiles on here and see their pics there are some pretty handsome men on here but they're way to young for me. Some are not that much older then my two sons and my oldest daughter who's 20 yrs younger then me.

I read somewhere that some younger men perfer older women cause they feel they're more mature then women their own age. Just like some younger women perfer a older man.
I don't know how much of that is true but I have read it as well as heard it said.

I've listed in my profile that I'm only looking for a man 59-70 yrs old.

trish123: Ive noticed when looking at guys profiles that quite a few of you still prefer to go for nobody older than themselves and in some cases up to maybe 5 or so yrs younger - whats this about? My own preference is sort of the same age give or take maybe 5 yrs or so - Im not into the toy boy thing but am just trying to understand this attitude of 'definitely not older'

LadyBtyBoop: I would like to interject here, if I may. You see, I am one of the "older" women. I am 61, but to me, it's just a number. I spent 20 years of marriage with a man that is 19 years younger than I. And, now that I am on these dating sites, it is wierd how, so many times, a younger man, and I am talking in their 20's, 30's and 40's, will contact me. I, personally, find men my age, and older, are a turn off to me, as they act "old", and I may be older, but that is just a number to me. I think in this day and age, age should not be such a big thing. Why is it, that an old man, can carry on with a young woman, and they say "Way to go." but if I am with a younger man, I am called a "cougar." And, I am supposed to act my age. Well, I am not old, I am just chronilogically challenged! And, I am not giving up on having some fun, as long as I feel like it!

i agree with every thing you say ,idont feel my age either,i still like to have fun ,

gingerb: I slept earlier. Was working late a couple of nights ( making my sister's wedding gown and trouseau), and internal clock finally got me tonight.

I like boxes, or facets as I prefer to call them, as long as ther are many of them. If I saw and knew everything about someone then there would be nothing to interest me. Nothing to indulge my curiousity. I really like my curiousity being indulged.............

well, ok .. roll eyes we'll all just wait until xmas to(unwrap) find out about who you hide behind those walls laugh

thumbs up but... I think that stereotype changes when women change how they act. Afterall this is 'partially' how stereotypes get formed. The other part comes from morons who see everyone as the same as the one or two people they meet.

peace

it is like every other preference

some like them taller others shorter

whgat is the problem when a guy has his own preference

when i read a female profile and i see i dont meet her requierement, i dont contact her

when a female writes me and she does not meet what i am looking for, i dont answer her

females do exacly the same
but they are desespereate for males, so now they want us to broader our requirements so they can fit in

why do you (females plural not all)always complain that guys are pushy and they do not undertand you are not interested

why are we (males pluras, not all) not aloud to have our own preference withut being quetioned?
