I'm a 38 year old guy. I'm attracted to women my age, older and younger. Who I'm interested in is about more than any chronological age or even any definable set of life experiences. I've dated women from18 years older (I was 26 she was 44) and to 13 years younger (I was 32 she was 19) and I've found that there really is no rule for the onset of intellectual, emotional or spiritual maturity, at least in my experience.
But...
As part of the long term relationship I'm looking for, I want children and that rules out women who are very much older and it rules out those who are closer or younger in age, have kids and don't want any more.

trish123: Ive noticed when looking at guys profiles that quite a few of you still prefer to go for nobody older than themselves and in some cases up to maybe 5 or so yrs younger - whats this about? My own preference is sort of the same age give or take maybe 5 yrs or so - Im not into the toy boy thing but am just trying to understand this attitude of 'definitely not older'
Yeah , it really puts me off when I see a an older guy saying 18 to 65, and he is 90!! Just my opinion but I would leave the 18 year olds alone!!

I think you make a great point! Zee said a similar thing earlier too - I got together one time with a guy and we had been seeing each other for a year and were really in love but I had to let him go cos he wanted children and I already had three and couldnt have any more - it really hurt - but he is happy now, he did have a child a couple of yrs later.

Yep, its a bit creepy isnt it - Ive seen it time and again too - older guy with the gift of the gab making a bee line for a vulnerable younger woman who they can then influence and control........
