absolutely YES!!! I have a living will, though it's in New Hampshire( so if you suspect i'm croaking it here, do let them know!!) and nothing terrifies me more than being stuck in a body that i can't control, hold my kids, in incurable pain etc, and having no say in whether i live or die. no one shoudl have control over whether I live or die, other than me. ( please don't say God- if he was on my side, would I be in that situation?)
ooh!! controversial!!
as a district nurse who regularly loks after the terminally ill in the latter stages I have much more to say about this but want to think it through first!!
cherokeemoon2: No killing another human being is still murder no matter how u do it.Wait untill ur elderly and ask ur self that question.
but if they want to die?- isn't it cruel to force them to endure more suffering? damn- isaid i would think it through first- maybe i should leave now- this could get hairy!
