Elley: The self employed amongst us have to work all through the summer just to stay alive. Sorry but I,ve very little sympathy for those of you who enjoy summerlong fully paid hols. I,ve not had a summer holiday for three years now! Teaching is hard work at the best of times, bloody worse when its nudging fifty degrees and the people you are teaching resent you because they don,t want to be taught. So if like me you have had to teach all summer long I really do feel for you. The rest of you............

Yeah tell me about it! I'm still here teaching my butt off before I go back to Spain and start all over again.

No rest for the wicked. laugh

Lol..funny..I was gonna send out a thread asking how people felt about teachers having all these paid holidays...my only retort is that I spend 6 hours a day in the classroom and spend about 4 hours a night at home planning...and most of the weekend....but I can't complain...I know I have it very good. Was self-employed for a while when I did Architecture...very stressful...so kudos to the self-employed out there

Oh yeah, it,s great being self employed, I get to work 24/7, have sleepless nights, pay my employees more than I get for a fraction of the work, thick or what.sigh

Not thick...independent, adventurous, ground-breaking, resilient, tough, get to leave a legacy, don't have to answer to anyone and you get to be called the boss..

Few other situations would let me have this site in the background while sipping cafe and still be working.

Better ask someone that troubles himself with keyboard layouts laugh

The reason is the use of accented vowels in a particular language. Check Wiki, good explanation there.
