If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not Love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not Love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not Love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love. I Corinthians 13:1-13
Therein and only therein lies the root of unconditional... to attain it we must follow all the rules above no more and no less, and what every heart and soul desires and even needs, will be there for them beyond their wildest dreams. Written for all to see for the past two thousand years yet in the past few generations it has dwindled to less spark than what is required to light a match. Love is not a drug to enhance our emotion or currency to trade for things... it is a gift and like all gifts must be shared to have any worth. When you are out walking through your towns and cities look for it and you will find that humanity has the least of it remaining, and even then mainly it is apparent in our elders who have almost faded from our world taking this dream with them if we do not make abrupt changes to our thinking of what is right. Society will not help as economic growth is assured with divorce by the sudden need for two of everything but the cost is far beyond any currency on earth... it is our spirit and those of our children who pay this taxing burden...The correction of this gravest of human oversights begins in ourselves one person at a time...
To further provide unbiased words to the above effect for those who may feel oppressed by the religious overtones... Firstly I am most assuredly not religious as this is merely a portion of the machine that makes our world what it is today. I am however extremely spiritual and seek the truth in all places high and low. Much has been said of Love by many and here are a few to refresh the weary hearted...
CuspofMagic: Positiveness is always a good energy when conditions aren't attached - thankyou
Polarity is something to which we all fall under the sway of. Negativity is largely the product of hurt and for these posters to denounce what they read so callously shows the depth of their hurt. For someone to see the beauty in a dying flower, that is art. Were it so that all were gifted with such vision to see beauty in simple black and white, the world would not be in such dire shape and perhaps there would be no need for the hundreds of online connection services that exist. Sadly that too would be a loss as there is no way for many to share ideas across so great a void of distance, and the world would be lessened by such as well.
To assume drugs because of literature is beyond me, but it is quite apparent that their hurt knows no bounds. Respect is something offered and best returned for full value to come into one's life.

Thank you for such simple clarity.
How would you know anything about simple clarity, nothing you've written has been simple or clear. There is something to be said for conciseness.
You have no idea of the hurts that I have lived through and healed from. Simple beauty is something I surround myself with and love every minute of my life.
I've seen no respect from you so therefore offer none. Condescending pseudo intellectuals that love to hear/read their own words and who have nothing but contempt for their fellow man deserve nor get anything from me but derision.

Methinks no one ever taught him about the dangers of run-on sentences.
Me shudders when looking at the Empty Quantity of all those Words. Then to top it off, quoting Erich Fromm! Let me know your Take on the Subject, not Erich Fromm's

But this reading reminded me of some good things. Thank you
alabamabebe: Migawd, if you read all of it and understood it you're either better educated than me or way more patient.
