druidess6308: Why does it seem that no matter what site I go to, I seem to attract only the scammers? MySpace, that's almost all I hear from...the only other person is a lady with a store that sells essential oils because she noticed my interest in alternative therapies.
Here, the best contacts I've made have been on the forums, but that's just as friends (which is totally cool, and I'm having a great time making friends). It's just that the only "romantically interested" have all been obvious scammers. One per day for three days now.

It's not you. yesterday I had 5 scammers and one real guy who sent me a flower and told me "too bad we don't live closer." I think there's more scammer than real ppl on here (and other sites.)

I get fed up with them too, we all get it......
I had one the other day, in his first contact he said
he would wait for my email address so he could
send me his picture.
He had pictures of a gorgeous guy on his profile.
When I said we could talk as friends but only
messaging on CS, he said no and that I
was a very hard lady!!!!
Well maybe I am and just as well, I'm not falling
for the hurt puppy lines.
I wonder if the fact that the site is free adds to the
list of scammers trying their luck.

Oh, gods, no! I stopped using sites I have to pay for b/c it was a waste of my money since that's all I got there. Don't bother! Everyone who's real and looking should find this site! It's the best I've found 'cuz at least there are the forums and we can have fun.

First off I have reviewed your profile. You have a very lengthy drawnout profile. Not mean to be nit-picking, but there seems to be more than people need to know.
Because you may decide to cut down on it, I won't post particular weakness's I have spotted. I will however point out that you do advertise an Inter-Net business.
Among other things just thinking that you might consider changing about 50% of the personal info. you have posted on your profile or deleting it.
Being a Widow as you posted could be saved for a later meeting with a prosective date. Many people relate Widowers,Widows to be totally alone , self-independent and financially secure.
The less openings you post the safer you'll be.
As an example, in another Site,I discovered a woman who's profile photo also included the make model and actual License plate of her pick-up! I sent her an e-mail and she deleted that photo very fast.
