Go into a post you don't like and attack the OP ? Does it make one feel superior to the OP or is it that they just need to stir things up or try to force their own opinions on others ???????????

As I have seen written on these forums for a long time now all it takes is to not respond or just don't read what you don't like.

Dan you know people like to ruin others day...

and say whatever they wish..

and dont care about anyone..

It makes them feel better about themselves as they
are the ones who have the problem and are miserable
in their own life...

sweetowen: Agreed. When I feel this is happening to me, I just bow out of the thread & don't go back.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't because I don't have to attack to get my point across and the one thing I hate more than anything is someone trying to bully me into their opinion...but there are people who will argue for 10 pages at at time that they are right no matter what and I just can't be bothered with those ones....wave wink grin

Just a lazy 2 cents but some people have a different viewpoint because of life experiences that form an opinion that may be right or may be wrong. Perception is reality for most and accepting something contrary to their own perception can be very difficult. I do find it difficult, myself, to take anothers viewpoint and try to stand in their shoes and see, maybe they are not attacking or disrespecting my opinion, just strongly voicing their own. Who is right? Who is wrong? Is anyone right or wrong? Or are we all a bit defensive when something is said against us.

Sorry had to throw in my 2 cents worth. I know im new and prolly wont stay long but life has taught me alot and reaction is a tough one to master. Good luck

That's the thing...opinions are never right or wrong...and nobody says you have to agree with anothers opinion...but you don't have to be rude or put others down for their own opinion either!!!!

Be welcome to the forums

wave

Most don't mind others opinions, it's when some will not
agree to disagree or allow others their opinion.

It's a total lack of respect.

I agree. thumbs up

Firstly, one needs to define "attack"?? Other than being blatantly and overtly intended to offend, in anyone's book, its rather subjective, isn't it? In the sense of perception, individual sensitivities and the like??

A differing viewpoint, perhaps even the approach with which that opinion is given will ALWAYS be added to the mix, won't it? Admittedly, there are times when a more articulate approach may have been given but that's down to a whole gamut of elements, eloquence, judgement, knowing one's topic perhaps, none least of which... personalities.

And don't forget..... are we actually ALLOWED to voice a true opinion any more? As someone once said "political correctness trumps common sense ever time...." Mmmm.....

As for the clearl intention of offending.... I'm not quite sure what that is supposed to achieve??
dunno confused

And that, of course, is MY viewpoint. peace

This really made me think.thumbs up

hmm what i think is its easier to ask what are u trying to say or request them to be a little more clear if you are in doubt of what was intended.

But i DO think like everybody has their own view points and the freedom to express the same , there needs to be a certain degree of respect of how what we say is going to come across to another. I am all for honesty but if it is intended to hurt , it will .. why camouflage it in the name of my opinion.

But why intend to hurt another at all .. confused

It's the internet...

People can say anything they want and receive no consequences for their words.

In real life they'd be punched, fired or get some kind of physical or verbal response.
