Well, that's not quite what McCain said.. 
He said we're in serious trouble right now, (and we are), but that he believes America has the spunk and the spirit it takes to pull our way up out of the muck, the work ethic, problem solving capability, things like that. (And we do).
I'd have to agree with that. It won't be easy, but we'll still be around next year, the year after that, and probably the year after that even.
Mainly we have to select our leaders very very carefully this time, and make sure they are telling it like it is, and not trying to manipulate the facts, or us either.
But since the source for that statement was .. Well, got to consider that too.
