It just reminded me of when my daughter was young & we lived in the country. We'd sit outside & I'd look up & say, "Look! The angels are having a party tonight! There's great-grandpa, & so & so, & so & so, etc. I'd name all the people we knew who'd passed away. It helped her to feel a bit better about our loved ones passing on.
I just thought I'd share this little tidbit with y'all....

I was walking on the beach tonight and saw a few stars...a little cloudy tonight. But when the sky is clear and there is a full moon, the beauty is breathtaking.

Thanks for that. Have been working so much lately I have forgotten how to enjoy things like that. The blue black stillness of a late Summer night where the stars come out for a show. Knowing its their turn to shine lol.

The kids and i still do that when we are out by the fire pit at night. It's very true we all have to believe in something.

when i was a cop kids would say that was god fighting with his wife. Now thats a sad statement for a kid to make. So i guess my life is not so bad lol

That IS sad... that's why I took my daughter away from our fighting while she was young. I didn't want her growing up hearing what I heard growing up. At least when I yelled at someone, it was clear it was her I was aiming at... just joking. My daughter & I are very close.

Being in nature does that to a person. Being outside part of your surroundings. Trees, the sky, water, rocks whatever basic element is out there, and especially the further you get away from civilization makes a person realize that we were meant to be part of something bigger than ourselves. If I am feeling stressed and I can get out for a walk even in a city park in the broad daylight. Surrounded by trees and a warm sun ray occasionally. Or a cold winter night that is very very quiet. Just the sound of birds or crickets. It just kind of takes away whatever drama I am going through. Reminds me of how small I am in the vastness of the universe I live in.
