I'm a, Irish descended Texas woman, born and bred. I attended UT Austin with Matthew MCconaghey. He was a good guy as I remember, it was a "hi", "bye" sort of thing through the hallowed halls of my beloved alma mater.

Thinking of the good things that America has to offer- Have you ever walked, climbed or smelled the air of the Rocky Mountains, or the Appalachians, the Blue Ridge mountains, or the Smoky Mountains? Have you ever witnessed Autumn and the changing of the leaves in New England? Have you ever driven those quiet back roads, seeing what was around the next bend?

Have you even driven across the great plains of this nation, seeing the wheat and the corn grow, knowing that it feeds families and provides fodder for animals? Have you ever spoken to the folks of the Midwest and have looked into their eyes and seen their life stories written upon their hands? Have you ever traversed to the Cascades and on to the sea of the great Pacific, watching the whales frolic? Then, have you ever been to the great white north of Alaska, meeting the Eskimos, working with them side by side as they bring in the daily hunt for their families and communities? Seeing all the great wonder of the polar bears and seals, orcas and wandering around the magnificent parks.

These are just some of the things that I LOVE about America. I see not only her faults, but her great wonder as well.

No, but I'm saving to go to Memphis....I hope to go next year.
