Is it about which religion we follow and whos been killing who lately? or is it about how we can help each other no matter which, or indeed, if any, God we believe in? and despite the dictates of whos running the media too - thats where the enemy lies - it isnt in all us ordinary people frustrated its those people running stock exchanges and telling us all its for our own good, they are the ones who have given religion a bad name comfort

Is it really so important to have your own views as the only possibility or may it be more fruitful for humanity, as a whole, if we all became more accepting of each others views - I think many of you are mistaken in your opinions and have no doubt that many of you think the same of me - but does that really matter - does this issue of religion really have to be so divisive?

I have no problem stating my beliefs yet some think I should be condemned to the pits of hades for deigning to speak of them - well, thats a bit of tough luck cos its too late now..............

In the whole social progess scheme of things, religion is merely a part or area from which people work and move throughout society. In the future, when socialogists look back @ us they will merely place religion into a catagory. It will be considered a side or part of an angle in societies shift either upward, downward, or sideways.

No one group is to blame over another. Each have had their hands in the downward spiral and upward spiral of social degress/progress.

Hi Trish... so I guess pandora´s box is open and there´s no going back now!!laugh I personally love the fact the people have different ideas and beliefs... it makes things so much more interesting. What I hate is when someone is so narrow minded that there is no room left for beliefs other than their own.

There is not one single person on this earth that can show beyond a reasonable doubt that their belief or ideas about God or a lack of one is correct. Because one chooses to believe in something.... that is a personal choice... a healthy exchange of ideas and knowledge is wonderful but I wish people would leave it at that and not have this need to "convert" others.

It´s almost as though if you can get other people to believe the same things that you believe that it confirms or justifies your belief... maybe people who are always trying to convert others are the ones most insecure in what they believe? dunno hug

so, what do you think may be the difference between sociologists and historians - I kinda see myself as a social historian with a twist............ and as such, involve myself in the social capital of my chosen group..........

Hiya JB, warm hugs as ever for you hug

I also hate that 'convert' ethic, it does rather belittle the endeavours of a society/organisation/sect if such drastic apologetic lengths need to be utilised, refined be taken in its defence dunno dunno dunno

to each their own I say - this doesnt mean that society will suffer in any way ............ by the way....... all the kleptocrats will hopefully slink off with the believers........... what the heck we will do if they dont all suddenly disappear is anybodies guess............ rolling on the floor laughing grin very mad

Oh Trishlaugh This scold was directed towards the entrepreneurs who invest so much time and money to come up with silly gadgets that cost a bundle and really have no benefit. Sorry Trish if that came across the wrong way...damn interwebs communication....

Sorry once again if you took that the wrong way....don't get me wrong now.... sad flower

There is free energy waiting for us...the technology is possible for us to sustain ourselves....like warming our homes, cooling our homes, crops, transportation, healing and so much more. The first step would be investing into crystal energy and having a better understanding of gravity and anti gravity....

To me, social progress may involve listening to others, despite their religious leanings - such as the Japenese for example - I dont understand why, in the last few days, we have heard nothing of their alternative energy cars - which have been reported extensively in the technology news but mysteriously usurped by the stock market shenanigans.....

This sorty of stuff happens all the time but people are so lost in petty arguing that it just passes right on by..........

Then please excuse me for being a bit touchy - Im having to be a bit remiss in coming forward - as a sort of soft n gentle being, full on attacks cause me to be uneasy to say the least........... and they are what most folks who choose to engage me on this level aspire to - If I did take you wrong, I take the assumption right back to precedents which I, for one, did not set - not that that matters................

Those 'nasty old pagans' had a social health care system which was second to none - they believed in a love which benefited all, they didnt delineate by popular deity - they had a truth which was universal and suited them well for milennia - at least till people discovered the concept of 'one up man ship'

No...I don't think it does have to be so divisive. Personally, I've always felt that everyone has a right to their beliefs, and that includes lack of belief in God/gods...or belief in gods as opposed to God. I like hearing the beliefs of others, and even discussing it intelligently and philosophically. I just don't see it as something worth fighting over, and certainly not having wars over. handshake Love ya, Lady!
