Hi Connectors - I'm half way through a really funny book called "A Confederacy of Dunces", and am looking forward to starting a new one. Can anyone recommend a funny one?

The story behind it was tragic though. The author killed himself because no one would publish him and he thought he had no talent. After his death his mother convinced a publisher to take the book and it's been a cult classic. I suppose the lesson is never to give up.
It depends on your sense of humour... I really enjoy black comedy... one of my favorite writers of that genre is Carl Hyacinth, I think his best was Tourist Season.
LACali - I knew he killed himself, though didn't it was because of not getting published. I just picture the author as Ignatius (main character). jbibiza - if you're into black humour you'll love the book. Stevan - politicians annoy me too much to get a chance to laugh shipoker - really??
It's called "Running with Scissors", forgot the author but it shouldn't be too hard to find. The book is based on the authors life and it is TRIPPY. "I'd like some slices of bologna with horseradish"

Yeah the first one is pretty funny. I'm reading "Nothing's Sacred" by Lewis Black - one of my favorite comedians. I've not had enough time to get too far into them, but I've been chuckling so far. "The Know-It All" is pretty good too, A.J...... something wrote it. It's about how he tries to read the entire encyclopedia and is pretty funny.
