Any ladies here, like pilots?

YOu see, I have a thing about pilots, they are safe people, and I like feeling safe.

People put their life in these mens hands...

I know a woman pilot, smart lady.

Clever guys and there are many women that I know who would love the idea of a pilot...

Thoughts, for fun, on jobs that people do that attract you.

I was in the Air Force years ago and will always have a soft spot for a handsome young fighter pilot in a flight suit and Ray-Bans!
On the other hand, when it comes to personalities, I recall that most of the pilots I knew were just too arrogant for my liking.
But there is something to what you are saying...one's job can be very attractive to another....such as firemen, policemen, pilots. The element of danger and risk can be very exciting to a woman. By the same token, I'm sure men are drawn towards models and dancers and contortionists! rolling on the floor laughing

Hi jlb

Fascinating, what did you do in the airforce?

I see what you are saying, but I think I would be arrogant if I was in charge of all of those people.

My friend is married to a pilot and they have introduced me to some, I have found them to be nice people, but then there is arrogance displayed by many in whatever they do.

I was the first female F-15 Avionics technician! LOL. That might tell you how old I am, for the F-15 is now an "old" plane! Funny how the plane is now old, but I certainly am not! rolling on the floor laughing
Sure, there are great guys who are pilots, firemen, etc.....but I think that there was a certain likelihood for a bit more cockiness (if you will) with the young fighter pilots. They were (generally speaking, only) hot-shots and were rather full of themselves. But this is what they ae told when they train...they are the best of the best, etc. As they aged and matured, they would become more down-to-earth. In fact, this was the main difference....the level of maturity.

I am impressed, wow, no matter what your age is, you should be in their hall of fame...

Arrogance is something that is very much alive in younger people, I can understand why, they are trying to make an impression.

I do not mind a dash of arrogance, I have some myself.

My son soon rails me in though...

I get that Emanuellla, I fancy my optician, when he says to me 'look into my eyes' I think 'OOOOOOOHHH' and then he spends 30 minutes talking about which contact lenses are suitable for my ageing eyes... It sends me silly...

And then when a nice doctor, oh I cannot go there...

Considering that he's living with a woman that he's been dating for the last four years or so, I'm thinking it wouldn't be a good idea laugh tongue

My father is a retired pilot. Knew what he wanted to do from the age of 4 when he got his first trip in his uncle's plane. He got his training in the Air Force as a fighter pilot, then went to work for the airlines when he got out. Made Captain after one year (easier to do back then). He loved going to work every day, and never forgot that he held people's lives in his hands. Loving what he did made it so that at 75 he still looks like he's only in his 60's.

Maybe because they remind me of my father, I've never had a thing for pilots. laugh doh
