Anyway, we all know that a human foetus starts off female until testosterone kicks in after 'x' days or whatever and then it gets all deformed and stuff - right?

The bible is a book about God, its full of love thy neighbour and anyone else that’s around and its also full of death and murder. It’s a bit of a confused book really. God is also a bit confused, does God forgive the people that are killed in his name? Confused book equals a confused God therefore its only logical to conclude that God must be female.

I guess God is male because men had more time to talk about the concept of God while sitting by the fire gazing up at the heavens while the ladies were busy cooking and putting the little cave dwelling kiddies to bed......
i.e. Men might have invented Gods while women quietly smiled because they knew they were in charge all the time and if Mr Caveman didn't go out and kill something soon he wasn't going to get any supper or anything else for that matter.........
On the other hand a universal creator, if He/She/It exists probably has no need for gender, so would be neither one nor the other?

maybe you need to go back to your friend and get them to define which God they are referring to, thats always a good starting point

Plus........ if in the bible it says 'God created Man in His image' Man could have been meant Mankind (which includes both men and women) and the His could have been used instead of 'It' as 'It' would indicate an inanimate object and if God exists then He/She/It can't possibly be inanimate - right?

The Hindus probably have a vacuum cleaning God, but I'm not sure on that one so don't quote me..........
More seriously, did you realise that high caste Hindus believe really believe in just ONE God? An interpretation is that all the so-called Gods are just different 'faces' of one Creator......... anyway, I heard that once and it made me think as it seemed logical in some ways.
At one stage I really felt 100% (not trying to offend any Hindus) that Hinduism must be a man-made religion and that the caste system a political tool to keep oppressed people oppressed.
It greatly saddened me to see two groups of Christian monks fighting each other physically (in the news on television the other night in a church in Jerusalem) - a fight broke out between an order of Greek monks and another order from another country.......... they were certainly not acting in a Christian manner towards each other.

Well after watching the news and looking around she ain't doing a very good job! this place is a bloody mess at the moment, Can't she at least run the vacuum cleaner round once in a while???
