Unsolicited junk software has entered my computer system and settled there. It is annoying. I have tried everything, but to no avail. I have tried “add/remove” in the “control panel”, but it didn’t work either.

Does anyone out there happen to know of any software program that I could download from the Internet, something that is effective and for free which I could use to remove the junk software?

Thanks
Sami

Sorry for the typo in the first word of the title. It must be "Software"

Spybot S&D is the best one I've ever used and I've used quite a few.
If you could let us know what it found. If you have
ZLOB DNSChanger Spybot will get rid of it but it will only come back again this is because Spybot only treats the symptom and not the root cause of this trojan.

Best precaution i've found is Deepfreeze. Deepfreeze makes a image of your hard drive, and everytime the computer is rebooted it's reset to the original image. So any virus is only there as long as the computer is not rebooted.teddybear
