I think you're part of the "Spiritual but not religious" group...which is broad, and also includes Pagans like me, and those who study the Theosophies of many religions, but doesn't follow any particular one strictly.
There are some churches that are beginning to cater to this...and spiritual centers, too, if you're open-minded enough to learn of the beliefs of others.
Here we have a free publication called Point of Light that has all kinds of spiritual info in it, and we can get it at any health food store, metaphysical shop, or spiritual center, and it has lots of them advertised along with the events happening. You might have a similar publication in your area.

Hey thanks! I never really thought of that and for years I as just flat out confused lol. Just recently I realized that religion is not for me but like I said it's always hard explaining to others you believe in God and Jesus but not man made religion because I think that's what it is... man made just like material! lol. I believe in the bible too but I don't believe in re-writing it so that people today can understand it... leave it as is!!!!! Don't mess with a good thing! I have given up on religion all together but I will not give up on MY FAITH! I just wonder if there are other people out there who feel the same way and if so........ where do we go to be with others who feel the same? it sounds like your mind is open to possibilites and that's a good place to start when it comes to gods.

lol yes I am! As of right now I am reading about Rastafarian beliefs so this is just another attempt and as of now I like that it's a movement not religion plus a few co-workers/friends of mine believe in it and they joke all the time I am but just don't know it lol. You're welcome. I'm glad I helped. And an open mind is a good thing. You now find statues of Buddha in the same houses with crosses on the wall, and there's nothing wrong with that. There are a lot of people losing the "I'm right/Everyone else is wrong" mentality, thank goodness. Tolerance and acceptance are growing...it just needs to speed up!

I think this means that you're against religions which violate your religious beliefs, SummerTime, NOT that you're against religion per se.

Do you know that's always the 65 million dollar question for me....beliefs are personal and a personal choice...and mine are right for me....it amazes me that there has to be a right and a wrong when it comes to personal beliefs...since that's just what they are.....

I just call myself a Non Denominational Bible based 'Christian' which I know is a bit long winded...
.. but like you I have no respect for 'Religious' behaviours... Religious people tend to be 'a la carte' with their faith... and feel the need to engage in overly judgemental over legalistic type practices to compensate... I know a person who is like that.. he knows the Bible inside out, criticises and 'corrects' his fellow churchgoers.... but at the same time displays little compassion on a day to day basis... dunno think Religion (in the conventional sense) is counter-spiritual and has a negative impact on a persons spiritual growth... The only one my own beliefs effect is me...nobody else.....so therefore...I don't have to be right....I only have to do and believe what's right for me....

Very well stated. I have little tolerance for those with little tolerance...it's one of the few things that can set my teeth on edge.
