Someone once told me that she was always very wary of dates who, when dining in a restaurant, were offhand or rude to the waiter....I thought that was a very shrewd and insightful observation....and have since consciously made it a point to always be polite when dealing with someone serving me.....

What other signs do you view as positive or negative going out on a first date??...

I once took a young lady out for a second dinner date,, we had grown to the kissing, hand holding stage so I was feeling relaxed in her company, then during the main course, her cell phone rang, she answered it and proceeded to chat with some guy who had exchanged a few emails, she carried on with the conversation for some time, I just finished my meal, she then proceeded to arrange a date with him the following evening!! needless to say I got up paid the bill and arranged a taxi for her, she then asked me what was wrongdoh

I have to agree with you in multiples....the lack of diplomacy of a date is directly proportional to the length of the cell phone call...been there, had that...

thumbs up

Well you two guys hit on 2 of the main redflags! Lago, what you said is actually on my profile!

Also bad hygiene... if when you first start dating a person doesn´t bother to attempt to look and smell good... can you imagine how bad it would be down the road?

Oh, how nice of you to share...I thought you will keep the info just for you while you are in a kind of competition. Or not?
If the moderators will allow you to post without being banned what I will tell you I don't have nothing against this share.

1. No mean comments after
2. Tips from men in return (I don't know why I asked this, we all know what do you like....rolling on the floor laughing )

These days for me, it works the other way round....most of the women I meet are too young for me to date, so I have to imagine what their mothers look like before making inquiries....

WHOLESALE GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS TO YOU LAGOONY! And welcome back. You obviously have gotten ahead of your year backlog in work?cheers

Yes, that thing with the serving staff of establishments ....... It tells me that the person is either so low down on the social/etiquette scene that they gotta make themselves feel somehow superior to somebody (anybody)? ..... or ...... Should one ever get involved longterm then one day they gonna have the same attitude to oneself ...?

I always admire a person who will bring themselves "down" in order to make others feel comfortable - should the others make some sort of error in their etiquette behaviour, thru ignorance.

There was a story about when the Queen of England invited some SA Boers for tea at her place of abode - and these simple farmer types poured their tea from the cup into the saucer (an old established habit of theirs) to blow it cool and then drank from the saucer ..... the Queen did the same!wine

Its sort of similar to those who tell you something and have to wrack their brains to remember some strangers Exact name/age/date of birth/origin/whatever in a story they telling you about something that happened eons ago .... Like you Realy Need To Know this Detail?sad flower
