kidatheart: I agree, it's a good way to get to know others.Robbie, your thread wasn't the only one that disappeared, there was a lot that vanished.

The fighting is annoying, but the censorship and banning is what really bothers me.
I have no problem taking things to email and never bother reporting anyone, their posts or threads.

There were comments made last night Harry that were so unbelievably unecessary... I have always been a fan of people asserting their views it is always an entertaining challenge to debate ur corner.. part of why I became a Lawyer I guess was my love of the 'debate'... derogatory comments however or personal attacks and insults however are not fair game.... like e.g. If I knew something deeply personal to you (which I don't of course just sayin) and in the course of the disagreement blurted it out in order to hurt you.. would that be fair? I really don't think so... sigh...

I wish everyone was like you.. unfortunately they are not... censorship of a persons valid opinion... not a fan at all!!! retraint of out of control disruptive behaviour ... yes sadly the Mods have a very important role in that regard...

SummerUK: I have seen some of the 'nicest' people turn into monsters and have been quite shocked by it. So I guess if it wasn't for the free speech in the forums I could've been sucked in by them

I know then not to reply to their polite and friendly emails lol

Me too... some of my favourite people in fact.. sigh...

Come on Daisey, your the one that got me to come back and cheer this bunch of misfits up?

It doesn't work, their faulty, or defective?

Now what are we going to do to make them jump start into being amusing, because if they are not going to start cheering up i am off for good this time.

Hi darlin...I'm back too and have thought about it...I guess it's really up to us to try to drown out all the negativity and bring the laughter and positiveness back to this place...S can be a wonderful place...but it's only as wonderful as the people who come here so if we all leave...then this place just becomes a big gob of negativity....SOOOOOOOOO It's time that we as members try to turn it around and make it into a pleasant place to come for everybody...and just drown out the few who make it unpleasant....wave wink hug teddybear hug bouquet heart1

No, that wouldn't be fair, and I'd be tempted to put you over my knee if you did it.laugh

I guess I just see things from a different perspective, but can also see things from another's. I do try to view all possibilities from every angle, but in the end I'm still not prone to picking sides, I'm on my own side.
You however are welcome to join me.flirty

If you think about what I actually said to you..... that is not an accurate account.

I don't believe for one mo that you are gonna be dictated to by me, or anyone else.

Perhaps, we all have not quite got into the Christmas spirit just yet? Besides, why is it so significant? In the grander scheme of things, what is important is that you are here for your own reasons and the behaviour of others should have little bearing on that, no?!!

cheers

Indeed!!! If all those who have something to contribute leave as a result of those who are just using the Forums as a vehicle for spouting their malevolence, surely they will still remain and those with much to give will be the ones that lose out...??

How does that make sense?? confused

Yes that could very well be it...it does get like this around the holidays...and that's very true...it is suppose to be an enjoyable time of year but for some it's not and that's fair....It would just be nice if that's what's going on...fine for those feeling that way...start a thread and discuss it....and then let's get back to being the people we are...all of us...adults who should be here to share with friends...have a few laughs...while looking for or waiting for that special someone....santa waving reindeer wink hug teddybear hug bouquet

Hi Rose...good to see ya g/f...I thought about it and I agree 100% with ya...we can leave and let things go totally down hill or we can stay and contribute something positive to help turn things around...and I have chosen the stay and be positive part!!!!!!!!.....hug teddybear hug bouquet

Robbie...I'm also glad you posted this thread and I am not the only one who is getting fed up...so let's get to having some fun and making this a good place to come again...yes your humour is much needed and appreciated here and I have also seen that soft side and know the bitterness some talk about is allllllllll in gest.....hug teddybear hug bouquet

Over ur knees huh.. best behave then wink.. laugh..

Thats the beauty isn't it Harry? well should be anyway.. we should all be able to voice our different views and perspectives without 'getting personal' once a nasty or derrogatory word is thrown into the mix all H*ll breaks loose and it normally degrades to the level of petty dirt throwing and the like...

As long as we try to avoid personal this will be a great forum for varied opinion

Yeah, I know what you mean, Hugsy...I see no point in dwelling on the fact that life sucks like a bowl of fermenting cherries in a Geisslerian vacuum and then we die, often hideously or embarrassingly...scold wink
