The beauty and the flow of the translation, I think. It's poetry is exceptional

whenever I consider a new version I go to the book of Luke. I read the telling of the Christmas storey. How it is told, decides if I want that translation

It's a bit tedious but when doing a Bible Study The Amplified Bible is rather interesting as it will give several synonyms for the key words used in a particular verse.

I use the Strongs Exhaustive Concordance...for studying. Well, at least when I used to study, to prepare for sermons.

Really to prepare for sermons? Interesting. I used the Strong's Concordance a bit. I loved learning about the culture and what different Greek and Hebrew words meant. It was wonderful.

So how long were you a preacher or were you appointed to a church. If so how long? and why aren't you now. Just curious in my experience over the years the pastors considered that a calling. So no disrespect I just find it fascinating that's all. If you are not comfortable with my straight forwardness I understand.

I'm an ordained minister...rolling on the floor laughing

Mainly just so I can perform marriage ceremonies, however. I don't discriminate against sects. As long as people can walk the walk, I don't care what they believe...thumbs up
