Out of curiousity, how far can a guy go with being polite on a day before its a turn off? Or is it ever a turn off? When I no out I want the guy to open the doors for me, pay for dinner, compliment me if I look nice and spent time to look good! Walk me to my door... Now I don't want a guy to flippin trip over his own feet in a sprint to run to me to open the door when he isn't close... But those are turn ons to me.. Girls do you like guys to be a gentlemen or rathe do things yourself?
And men do you prefer to do these things for ladies? Or had any lady tell get ticked for doing so?

I always try to have good manners and don't recall any woman get ticked off for being polite.
I'm from NH originally, and when I moved her to PA I had to adjust to certain things like having doors opened for me, a guy coming around to open my car door, stuff like that. It used to tick me off, but I've adjusted, and now I kinda like it. So, for me, if he does it, fine. If he doesn't do it, also fine.
I'm more concerned with his overall manners. Is he kind to others? Does he listen when someone is speaking to him? Does he open the door for someone who is carrying a heavy or awkward load of stuff? Does he clear his own dishes away, or help his mother with things she needs done? Does he say "please" and "thank you"? And does he tip the waitress? Those are the things I care more about.

I totally agree! I watch for those things too. I hate when a guy leaves me behind when we're leaving a restaurant or somewhere. Or makes me pay for my own meal. I had a guy beg me to go out once then said, I only have a 20 can you get the rest. And I didn't even want to go out. I watch how they treat their mother and children also. I watch everything!
I don't place too much importance on whether or not a man strictly adheres to the Amy Vanderbilt Book of Etiquette, or whether he opens my car door, etc. (I would probably be alarmed if he actually knew which way the toilet paper is supposed to hang But I sort of think that the main value of basic, simple "manners" is that it's an expression of courtesy...and THAT is very important.

It's also mutual.
I never knew there was a certain direction it was supposed to go.
WhatUwish4: The end of the roll should come over the top, as opposed to from under the bottom.
Now you know!
Yep...that's the way I put it too. But I know others that prefer the other way. I don't know why, since it just makes it more difficult, but to each their own.
Like I said, though...if a man changes it at all, I'm happy.
