If this is a blind date then: Take your best girl friend as a chaperon (he doesn't need to know she is even there) have her sit at the bar, meet her in the ladies room, if you want out
have her call you from the bar saying there is an emergency and you must leave now. Worked when I had one last week end and met Charlie the Tuna!

I know i'd always prefer honesty from the start and if I was told that I'm a really nice fella but you don't feel a connection i'd prefer that to a dodgy ph call and running for an excuse........
Or just go with Prince's.........bound to put him off...
