I received my $1 Million stimulus check yesterday... only left me $10 after taxes, but I got it.

I don't understand it either... I guess they just want the people that don't know any better to think the government is their protector and is giving them a gift... buying votes... see what good that did for the republican party...

I think the basic idea is to make the wealthy people pay more taxes and give the middle class a break because the rich don't carry the heavy loads, all they do is live in luxury whereas it's the middle class who grow the food, make the tools, keep the wheels of the country turning, create the jobs.

Funny, but right now I'd be more than willing to pay a 1-2% increase in sales tax here in CA if it would keep them from cutting any more from education and keep my district from cutting our work year back by a month or more...would save me from having to kill myself working a 2nd job.

The problem is the basic idea, is never what occurrs... its more like the middle class pay more taxes and never get ahead...

The top-earning 1% of US taxpayers pay one third of all federal individual income taxes collected.
Actually the business owner bare the burden and the risk when it comes to job creation. The middle class class fill the position needed in the companies and get paid for the work performed. Sometimes it isn't a fair wage, but they aren't being prevented from leaving for another job. opportunity is out there, the whiners just don't have the hunger to go after it. In some cases people are delt a losing hand for the moment, but then they need to do something about it.
I have been on both ends of the spectrum. I have made $150k+ a year and have been homeless. One thing I never did was feel sorry for myself. I am working my way back to the top.
