I am just glad I lived in a totally different world. We can not even compare it. Is this is progress, you can keep it. Some changes are good, most things to me are not.

You are soo right we have become paranoid about so many things. I am happy to have been raised in a different time
As they say, schools are significantly underfunded because they have to pay salaries that are competitive with the private sector. However, in many rural Iowa communities they are the highest paid people in town. Also interesting that a full time teacher base is 917 1/2 hours per year.

They did here too, that is why IPERS is 43% funded. CDOs and MBSs were great investments. Oh, I forgot about the $389M in the hedge fund that went broke. The best and the brightest run that puppy!
