Yes, always a joy to see you, love. I am sure it will all work out for the best, you are a very enlightened lady....
Alison: sometimes I think he just landed on earth (no kidding). I don't know why he thinks the way he does. For instance he will eat anything and I was making spaghetti and meatball sauce and he wanted to put sardines in the sauce because he likes them both.doh rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Hi Arlene,

I think you have answered your own question. I think you just need reasurance that you have made the right decision.

Every relationships have their good points and bad, but its when someone wants to make changes to the structure i.e. Will you marry me? , that you finally say no, enough. I like you, but not THAT much.

Arlene101: I had a marriage proposal last night from a guy who I have been seeing on and off for the last six years. More off than on and I never took it serious at first but he was serious and all I could do was giggle and tell Allan that I can't do it.

Smart lady, why screw up a friendship? grin

My neighbour proposed to me tonight too. All he´s ever done for me is install an air conditioning unit, why on earth he´d think I´d want to marry him is beyond belief.....I paid him the asking price of 150 euros for the job!

That is right Pat, no need to. I told him one morning that he seemed more than 'Jovial' and he told me there is no such word and made up his own.laugh laugh He called it 'coldervil'. Now imagine me married to him.laugh doh He is a very smart person otherwise and a workaholic and smart with math, etc, I could go on and on why I 'like' him but marriage no way. I like to laugh too much. kiss

Although he is upset with me now, he will find it funny soon and shake his head and go to detox.laugh The neighbour? I would keep an eye on him, you might want to watch yourself there. At least me and Allan were intimate more than a few times.blushing Jan: your proposal sounds almost eerie and who knows what he thinks in HIS mind. A person just never knows.dunno

rolling on the floor laughing thumbs up I don't have to run, he has been kind of afraid of me for six years and I expect that to continue. He is such a bug, I am so amused by him. He was so upset with me but just a few minutes ago he phoned drunk as a coot and asked me where his lighter was.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing I told him where I would guesss it would be and , sure enough. He thinks I am amazing and I just find it so funny. He is just one year older than me at that.dunno laugh laugh

Arlene101: No Ken, it is not too personal! He is all about him and more or less needs a mother. After six years he didn't even know I have a 16 year old grandson and I know everything about him and he even tells people that. When he is asked a question , He says "Ask Arlene, she knows more about me than I do".

Arlene, Sweetie, then all I can say is, you definitely did the right thing...but I think you already know that. hug wine

Blessings...now I hope you find someone worthy of such a sweet, warm lady. bouquet

Arlene101: Thank you Ken but I just can't handle the actual living together and all the commitment thing. Hell, I can't even commit to joing a dat league or anything like that.

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing Oh, Arlene...you cracked me up. At least you know who you are, so may you find someone who you can have a solid relationship with, without all of that.

I know a couple that was together for 30 years (until his recent death from cancer) but never lived together, nor got married...not even engaged. It worked for them better than getting married and living together, and there was never a doubt that they were a couple. Nobody said that the right relationship for you has to follow the conventions.
