Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..

Separately, Rudd angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote:
'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. '

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'

'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

Uncle Kevin said that????
Funny I didn't see it on the news. I do agree with the sentiments and have for years. Look at any "multicultural" society and the racial and religeous problems.

Hi Ralf thanks for the info.
I am sooo grateful I was brought up in Holland when I did.
I could not stomach what is going on now.
Many Muslims are moving to Holland. Sure why not eh?

I wonder how my life would have gone if my family would have moved to Australia when I was about 14.
My mom changed her mind when she found out dad would be gone all week in to the bush and she would be left behind with 6 kids.
Ha yeah and a bunch of other frustrated women.
doh

Just re-reading what Tina said in the beginning.
To my sisters living in Holland, we only talk in English. to my sistsr in the US the same.
One thing is a fact about the Dutch they want to blend in.
We did not immigrate to stay Dutch.
You can have a party with them, 30 strong and all speaking English.
The only thing I may do when adding up stuff in reversing back to Dutch.
In English it is all turned around,
Like forty three, in Dutch it would be three and forty.
I once had to translate at a bingo game.
Oh that was such fun...........not.
I thought I had a pointed head afterwards lol.

Here, here! On Tuesday evening, this guy from Iraq signed an Agreement to take on a rental lease of a unit I have. He had come to the viewing on Saturday with his brother and sister in law. The morning after signing, he left me a text message saying he could no longer take the unit as he had received a call from his wife in Iraq that she was very ill and he needed to leave immediately. Well, it became the biggest headache, cuz a few hours later he changed his mind again, saying eh had heard from his wife and she was out of hospital and told him he no longer needed to go, she was OK.

To cut a long story short, the 2 weeks' rent in advance and full bond money never came. All and sundry seemed to want my account details to ,lodge the money, which never eventuated. In the end, I just wanted to get rid of him. This evening I went with my brother and got him to agree in writing to cancel the Agreement. It had all been a load of c& b. When sitting in the lounge room with him and his father, waiting for sister in law to check the written english let out clause, we chatted while the large plasma TV was on in the background, airing an arabic program. Turns out it was satellite TV with 170 stations. What stunned me was his admission that there was not one English station. He had just finished telling me he was now an Australian citizen. I asked him how does he expect to learn English, and he said he did so at work. But I was confused, and told him how could that be, his boss was 'Mohammed', and they did not speak much English together. Well, I am disgusted frankly. And I do not for one minute believe he is here because he loves the idea of being an Australian, coz if he did he would want to learn English!!! After all, he is young, can't be more than late 20's, early 30's. Oh, and by the way, he must have forgotten about the story he had spinned yesterday about his wife being sick in hospital in Iraq, cus tonight he said she had rung him to say she needed him to go over there as she was having problems with getting her visa in Syria (not Iraq!), but then all was sorted out, she was getting her visa after all. I sat there absolutely intrigued at this man's creative story telling. Anyway, I rang the National Security hotline this morning. I shall update them in the morning. Could all be totally innocent, but anyone who has the need to drop everything suddenly and go to Syria, and has 170 arabic television stations and not one in English, and has sought Australian citizenship, to me becomes a person under suspicion in my books and not someone I wish to have as a tenant. And frankly not one I think should be in Australia! I am actually vey angry that six years ago, bloody Howard's government let people like him in!!!
