Don't make a big ordeal out of not knowing what to or how to do it. Just be yourself. Socialize. And get to know others. Being active here in the forums is the best route to go vs. searching through profiles. As Buzzy mentioned, put up a picture. You will get noticed sooner rather than later. Not sure why a pic is important, probably a thread or two on the topic itself may answer that but it's a fact. Put up a pic because women want to see who they're talking to. Same works for guys, makes it more personal. Good luck and welcome.

Hi and welcome. I'm new to this site as well, but not new to the online dating thing. For me a pic is important because I do want to see who I am talking to is you plan on just being friends. For dating purposes, the initial chemistry must be there at least for me. Also, I just posted last night and everyone on the forums has been really great and supportive.
