My Godmother (my mothers aunt) was my fav adult growing up. I visited her a lot and she had a cracking sense of humour......
Anyway I had been away for a while and I called down to see her.
She lived in Corporation Flats on the second floor and the flat below her was directly adjacent to the stairs.
In the ground floor flat lived an old guy with a bad limp and used to stand at the door a lot somoking........He was called Lefty........
It had been about 3 months since I had seen her and I cycled down one day. I stopped and chatted to Lefty for a while and and filled him in on where I was. Anyway I went on up to Esther and proceeded to have a bit of lunch with her. I mentioned that I had been speaking to Lefty and he was in good form.
She then told me that Lefty had died 7 weeks previously.
WTF............
I know the mind can play tricks on us and the memory fades in time but I still swear I had a chat with him that day......

holy guacamole!! i believe you, its just amazing the amount of people who have had 'something' happen....my belief is if the person died, but didnt want to let go, their spirit remains here, even tho they're physical body couldnt survive for some reason or another (trauma etc)...does anyone else believe this?

My dog Bailey, golden retreiver Labrador mixed, jet black. When it used to rain he smelled really bad no matter how soon he has left the groomers. Whenever I feel really sad. I can smell that wet smell. Like he was sitting next to me.
At first it was just when it rained, now it is when I feel not so happy. I had him for ten yrs before he died. And I have to say he was my best friend.

I use to help look after a friends small country hotel when they went away...
The first time I looked after it all the electrics blew...
Got it fixed but they still tripped....
The second time we had a lock in and everyone kept coming out of the loos and saying that someone was switching of the lights as they were in the cubicles...
The third time all the bulbs blew one night and as we replaced them they just kept blowing...
It was a pub with an open fire and everytime we tried to bank it up it would almost go out...
So I mentioned to the owners on their return and they got the deeds out and history of the building....
Over a hundred years before a girl had died in a fire in the building and they had experienced the weird goings on ever since moving in as had past owners..
They put it down to the girl's ghost not liking electrics incase of a fire....
Thats our ghost they chirped....

Everyone has heard a bump in the night of some sort. However, I don't think there are any such things as ghosts that haunt or spirits that are restless.
As far as aliens, I'm more than confident that we aren't alone in this vast universe and I think it would be ignorant to say that we are the most intelligent, however, I don't believe that they have been to this planet.

I don't really know if this would fit in with your question but I found it to be really shocking. I was in a car accident in 2000 I was 16.. I was T-boned by someone speeding.. It was a really bad accident that my little sister lost her life in and my best friend spent 6 months in the hospital for. I remembered this vision I had just before regaining consciousness in my car. All 3 of us were riding horses together in this huge field we always cut through. We came upon a road we had to cross my friend had crossed it and me and my sister were talking about how she didn't feel very good and needed to go home. I wanted to go with her to make sure she made it ok but she told me she would be fine and to go on and that she would see me when we got back. It felt so real that when I woke in my car and saw my dash all smashed and heard my friend moaning that I thought that was a dream! I've had lots of people say that was gods way of letting us say goodbye cause she never woke and died the next day.. Some have said the road was the crossing from living and dying and that me almost going with her was me almost dying.. It was just a crazy vision that I question sometimes..
