What would it take..... (21)

What would it take for you to give up EVERYTHING you are familiar and secure with, you own, and friends and family to move to where your new partner/spouse lives to live the rest of your life with them. What is it that would make you believe it is the right move!? Inquiring minds would like to know......

Theresa wave

It would take a mighty wonderful man who would enhance my already happy life, plus I would need to be 100% confident that I would enjoy the climate and lifestyle of the new location.

My impulsive, 'throw discretion to the winds' days are over as I truly value every facet of my life and would not jeopardise any of it purely for the sake of pursuing what could turn out to be a romantic whim conversing

I agree 100%...we'd both know how we tick in the flesh. It's easier and more fun to kiss and make up too...lol. Without assuming that text, messaging, and emails "should" suffice. Not to mention you can spoil the heck out of one a other. On line texting, messaging is just that...on line. It's not always knowing now the man ticks so he can be pleased......it's know how the woman ticks so she can be pleased to. If they can't please each other and it's a one sided relationship, eventually it will self destruct too wink

My son in law is not what you've said is the average Aussie man. The brainiac and extremely brawny man he is.....he believes that women have just as much say as their husband, sometimes more at home because the wife is the one while the husband is working his butt off knows what's going on. He was taught that though by both of his parents. And also taught to make sure who ever he marries she's just not a materialistic woman.....and not to convince her to become one after he starts. Along his money. wink

I LOVE hanging with them as people.... Their home is always a love fest...australia heart beating heart beating

Hi.Theresa.

I see you are in Launceston ,Well in my other posts I said I would be in Tasmania. Well been here 4 weeks and two to go till I go back home to Waimate on the 18th this month to south Isl NZ,

We had thought of going up your way and decided not to not this time any way , though would have been nice to catch up with the Brass bands there,

While I have been here I have joined up with the Clarance and Glenorchy Brass Bands and has been lovely and with one concert we put on with 5 of our Bands,

Any way thought I'd just say hi and let others know im here, and im not going to Melbourne for a vist not this time any way .
take care .

Having been in an international dating relationship prior to marrying her, I would say that what it takes is:

1. the belief that it can work out (if you don't really believe it, then you'll find an excuse to not follow through)

2. the willingness to invest in the relationship monetarily, fidelity wise, with perseverance and resilience

3. the willingness to accept that another culture will view things differently to you

4. self-security that comes from knowing yourself, being honest with yourself, and not holding as your security materialistic things such as a house, or job, or money.

5. a desire for adventure (LDRs are an adventure).

6. true love for the other person. (not easy to know first up whether it is just infatuation or real love)
