Seasons

Rare, the cold summer rain
Only us two remain
Here in the park
Hours before

Dark fall on us
Tonight we find
Our lives intertwined

Green, one leaf in the Fall
Brown and gold surround us all
Waiting for spring
Wondering what life will bring.

You and I
We live our lives
We strive to get by

What is it worth?
What is the cost?
What is it everybody fears?

We fly through our days
Only memories remain
Days turn to seasons
Turn to years

Winter sun in my eye
Waving one last goodbye
Tears on your face
Such beauty and grace

Grace here
In your smile
In my mind
I drive another mile.

Each season has its own beauty and memories.
They come all to quickly it seems anymore.

You, waiting for spring and wondering what life would bring. What else could a woman in love dream about while driving a car, being engrossed in graceful thoughts. This is good but take care while you drive, dear ROS, don't get distracted. Loved your poem. It took me somewhere else, but I wasn't driving, so I could enjoy every word of your poem. Thank you.

Hi, ReaderOfSouls,
Grace here In your smile In my mind ...and in the poet's reflective write. Though blinded by the Winter sun and Tears, I enjoyed this.
