As the sun sets on another day
Nature makes her grand display
Clouds like fire across the sky
Soft white cotton floating by
Such beauty in a fleeting glance
Holds me captive in a trance
Just how fast would I have to race
‘the twilight of the gods’ to chase

God paints the sky o'erhead

They're for me to read and for you
I love the way you comment on my poetry.
Wasn't sure many would read it as the title was a bit obscure
Needless to say I found the answer to the question in the last two lines.
Whether it's 1037.5 or 1040.37, thankfully, as long as the world turns we get to enjoy it while standing still. Once in 24 hours (more or less) makes it special! Enjoyed the photo and the write!

It is great when every now and then the sky is just right to give us such a beautiful sunset.
It's good to think that it's the same sun that sets all over the world, sort of puts the distance in perspective.
