As every coin just has two sides two emotions our heart abides, the basic feelings that we possess are the Fear and Love that we express.
When love is present and at our side the fear is gone, with no places to hide. For when we feel a presence of one, the other leaves and soon is gone
As love brings to us a sense of joy with peace and happiness to employ and on which we find an inner peace, a tranquil home, the golden fleece
As fear drags out the worst in us hate and depression becomes a truss. that inner turmoil that we discover, our guilt and anger to uncover
An active choice that we must make for fear, not love our hearts forsake. And with every single reasoned thought We should banish fear, and all it brought

About this poem:
Dedicated to a Lady who asked me to consider ‘fear’ and not ‘hate’ as the opposite of love.

I couldnt agree more with your lady friend. Fear totally incapacitates you if one allows it to. Hate may be strong but doesnt dwell in us all. Fear is something we all feel at some point.
As fear drags out the worst in us hate and depression becomes a truss. that inner turmoil that we discover, our Guilt and anger to uncover
So well expressed Orpheus.

Oh so true Orpheus....how often to we cross over with meanings of words...in poetry, we have to focus on a simple outcome....well written and easy to relate too...Niah
