Of the greatest writer there is no doubt The man from Stratford and years gone by We still give praise and his works we flout And Shakespeare’s writing will never die As an actor in the Lord Chanberlain’s men Many dramatic plays he stared and wrote Numerous sonnets came from his pen and many times we will hear a quote The complete work have all survived Of a British subject in whom were proud Many times his works have been revived He’s inspired people in every crowd So to the Bard of Avon I raise my glass And if this doesn’t win you can kiss my

An excellent sonnet, an amusing if incomplete rhyming couplet. I can't imagine anyone struggling to much to figure out the missing word.

Alas, It may seem crass but I could not amass a single word that rhymes with Glass, So as for the end, I'll have to pass.

I appreciate the suggestion however unfortunately a 'lass' is the one thing I have not got.
Well not as yet anyway but you never know who you will meet on here and until then I shall keep practising my poetry.
I shall complete it one day.
