Men; to all the ones I loved before Life’s path has lead me deep to many I may keep Fancy smiles and rest assured, from the ones I loved before Pretty cars and diamond rings, sweet kisses and love springs Many life lessons have been taught from the ones I loved before Each new encounter hope has been filled To be dashed to the ground waiting to be dusted off again Pretty words how easily they flow, today and tomorrow here we go Pretty words of tomorrow may be hold promises unspoken Actions more telling than time of deception held inside There are specific kinds of men in this world I have learned The playboys knowingly unkind, lead a girl on to make believe a dreamer’s curse in disguise He comes round when he feels like it for the good time, And showers pretty words of what might be woven gently to the truth His actions follow through until he fears too much his costs And then gently he disappears like the dust No answers to be found . . . . he hides behind the safety of his cave To not let one inside, he finds comfort jumping about Loving one and then another well in short time But true love has lost his dime for his fears bind To much work and honesty to last but an hour To all the ones I loved before this one you lost The heart menders love to find a love so devine Practice the art of picking up the pieces as their love Repairing hearts is their job, spreading wings broken They carefully mend the tattered shell But not too well for the angel finds her wings well What was once is gone, as a bird will fly to the sky They often do not trust the love they shown And hinder it once its grown For fear and doubt begin to find a home amongst the ground where wings do not fly To all the ones I loved before, tis lack of faith that lost me so The devil hides in some deceptive in their kind All smiles and good times be had till their anger transcends We become the rag doll of the time
