NOT a poem...just a question

If you were to pass by a book of my poetry in a book store and read a bit...would it be something you just flipped through or would it be something you actually purchased?
Please be honest...I'm curious as to whether I should write a book of poetry or just leave it as a hobby...all comments welcome please...good or bad =) !!

I would definetly buy a couple to give away as gifts and keep one for myself.Thus far i only bought poetrybooks in my home language,as i don't know the English poets so well,but yours are brilliant and i will buy to keep.

for an unbiased opinion my friend get an agent, a proper one, not one that wants money from you, and they will be honest, because they will be looking to make money,......what's the worst they can say?.....another thing to think about is getting an objective opinion, we make lousy self editors and critics......what we think is rubbish some one else will love and vice versa......hope this helps......

Go for it Blizza-never mind the critics-they everywhere....luckily in the minority of 1 to 100.I'm not an expert on poetry-just a reader and an artist but i can spot talent a mile away.You got real talent and your passion will open up the doors of opportunity and will get you very far.All the best of luck to you.

Poetry is not something a lot of people go out to purchase in a book store - even more so for new authors. I would suggest try make a name by being published in poetry magazines or newspapers first, then your name is more familiar, your standard and style more familiar - you may have better luck this way. But it is just an opinion, you will do what you will do!

I've gone through your poetry. You are good, you only have to take time and continue writing. No need for publishing poetry at this very moment. I would suggest that you should start working at its improvement, at bringing it up to a higher level, making it more professional. Better take some professional advice and become more knowledgeable in poetry, its theory and what it stands for, its styles, ways of expression, etc. Intensive reading of classic poetry could render you priceless help. And, what's important, never give up. You can make it, I am confident! I wish you luck from the bottom of my heart!
