Blackness settles

Darkness slowly falls to the
earth for the clouds have
started to close us in from
the vision of the sun.
The wind blows it's cool air
to the earth where all swirls
around.
The rain comes hard and cold
to the ground and me.
For it pulls the leaves
lifting them up and down.
The light on the lamp post is
all that lights my way as i
walk in the path of nature.
I watch the people and cars around.
Yet the darkness grows blacker
still as the night takes over the day.
For all has climbed into to
bed for the night.
Now i bid you a good day and
say good night as i go my way.
