Just One More Time Part 2

In the morning after breakfast she scurried off to the kitchen to find the cookie cutters, rolling pin and decoration for the cookies. It was time to make the cookies my mom and grandma were heading to the kitchen. Grandma helped me make my sugar cookie mix and plopped the cookie dough in front me. Cookie after cookie were placed on the sheet until there was no more dough left. Grandma placed the cookies in the oven and turned on the light. She sat there watching the cookies through the Window just waiting for the timer to go off. Finally they were done and her mom took them out of the oven and laid them on a cooling tray. Mary and her mom made frosting of all different colors. Mary kept grabbing a spoon and dipping it into the frosting for just one more taste. Then to Mary’s delight it was time to decorate. Mary had all the decorations out for easy access. Mary was having so much fun. Her grandma came over to help her while her mom started the pies. They were all singing Christmas carols. This was such a good time for the family everyone loved being together for the holidays.
The cookies and pies were done and we all collapsed in front of the television to watch a Christmas carol. For they knew Christmas was going to be a busy day. It was not soon before everyone had fallen asleep. Mary was dreaming of all the possibilities tomorrow held. Mary dreamt about all the presents she had asked Santa for. Which ones were under the tree she had no clue.
They all woke up and started cleaning up the house as they knew the party was only hours away. They started the food for the festive celebration. They even made the appetizers and froze them ahead of time. The china was brought out to wash and serving platters in order to stage the food around the room. They were getting so excited as the time was getting close. The family went upstairs to dress so they would be able to welcome everyone in just a little while. The dresses were so formal Mary was not sure which one to pick. She finally settled on a red frilly dress. She liked it because when she twirled it lifted up.
